Noriyuki “Pat” Morita died last thursday aged 73 (E! Online).
I was surprised to see M3nt0r and Ensellitis mention this as well. The Mr. Miyagi role in The Karate Kid (imdb) brought him an Oscar nomination for best support in 1985.
You only learn Miyagi-Do-Karate and the Crane-technique painting the fence and polishing the dream cars (”Wax on, wax off”) !!

Most of us will remember as the Karate Kid master anyway. Part of my chilhood has gone today.
